1 Killed, 1 Injured in Fresno County Crash Near North and Temperance Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 10, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another near North and Temperance avenues in Fresno County.
According to the FOX 26 News and ABC 30 News, the tragic accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 6 p.m.
The incident began when a sedan going north on Temperance Avenue, approaching North Avenue, in Fresno County. At the same time, the big rig was traveling west on North.
For an unknown reason, the car ran a stop sign at the intersection. The California Highway Patrol said in the process, the sedan slammed into the semi-truck.
Car Runs Red Light, Hits Semi-Truck
The car came to a rest near a vineyard. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the man in his 20s or 30s driving the sedan dead at the scene.
The driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took him to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of North and Temperance avenues to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The fatal Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
