1 Killed, 2 Injured in Fresno County Crash Near Fowler Avenue and Harlan Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 28, 2021) – A DUI crash killed one person and injured two others near Fowler Avenue and Harlan Avenue in Fresno County.
According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the tragic wreck took place on Monday night. Officers reported the accident at about 9:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a pickup truck crossed over the center divider and slammed into another vehicle in Fresno County. The two crashed near the intersection of Fowler Avenue and Harlan Avenue.
DUI Factor in Car Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and confirmed that the man driving the pickup died as a result of the collision. The two occupants of the victim car ended up hurt upon impact.
An air ambulance took the female driver to the Community Regional Medical with major injuries. A ground ambulance rushed the male passenger of the same vehicle for treatment of minor wounds.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP found several beer cans inside the truck involved and they believed alcohol played a role in the wreck.
Officials forced the area of Fowler and Harlan avenues to shut down for a time following the collision. The fatal Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
