Head-on Truck Accident at Mount Whitney and Madera Avenues

 FRESNO COUNTY: Major Head-on Truck Accident Mount Whitney Avenue, Madera AveFRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2020) —  An SUV and a semi-tractor trailer truck collided head-on Wednesday morning at West Mount Whitney and South Madera avenues in the Riverdale area, just east of Five Points.

The truck accident was reported at 7:06 a.m. at the Riverdale intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities stated that the Toyota RAV4 SUV crashed into the truck and suffered major front-end damage.  It’s unknown at this time what led up to the crash at this time.

Paramedics responded to treat at least one person for major injuries. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.

The cause of the crash and liability are under investigation by the Coalinga CHP station.
