2 Motorcyclists Injured in Crash on Highway 4 Near Ashlan Avenue

November 4, 2018 – Two motorcycle riders were injured in a traffic collision on Highway 4 Saturday afternoon, according to ABC News.

At approximately 1 p.m., more than a dozen motorcyclists was heading up the northbound lanes of the highway near Ashlan Avenue. For reasons still under investigation, an SUV driving in front of the motorcycle slowed down.
Officials said one of the riders hit the brakes, causing him and another motorcyclist to fall. Both parties suffered injuries as a result of the wreck, and were taken to hospital for treatment.
It was not immediately known if there were other injuries in the crash.
The investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly what happened here and why.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of all vehicles involved, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators draw up a firm conclusion for what happened.
