Scooter Rider, 15, Seriously Injured in Fresno County Crash at Willow and Friant

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (July 30, 2021) – A scooter rider was seriously injured after a crash at Willow Avenue and Friant Road in Fresno County.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 3:47 p.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck the 15-year-old riding a scooter for an unknown reason. The driver hit the juvenile at North Willow Avenue and North Friant Road in Fresno County.

Driver Hits Teen Riding Scooter

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the teen to a hospital for treatment of a head injury and a broken arm. Officials did not disclose the condition of the wounded party at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Willow Avenue and Friant Road to close following the collision. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Fresno County crash.
