
Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Highway 99
Fresno, CA (December 5, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of West Ashlan and North Blythe Avenue, the Fresno Bee News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle was heading west on Ashlan Monday afternoon. When the motorist approached the intersection at Blythe, the car struck a male party. It remained unclear whether the victim was crossing the street, or walking in the traffic lanes when the horrible crash happened.
Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Accident at Ashlan and Blythe Avenue
Shortly after 5:45 p.m. rescue teams arrived at the location. A nurse apparently performed life-saving measures in vain to the pedestrian found lying on the ground. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries and eventually passed away at the scene. Authorities only identified the deceased as a male in his 60s.
Officials mentioned the driver stayed at the site after the unfortunate event. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened at West Ashlan and North Blythe Avenue in Fresno.
