Woman, 45, Hit and Killed by Vehicle at 99 Cents Only Store Parking Lot Sunday
Fresno, CA (April 4, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Sunday morning in the parking lot of a central Fresno retailer, according to Your Central Valley News.
Our sources indicated a 45-year-old woman was laying on the ground for an unknown reason at the 99 Cents Only store parking lot. Unfortunately, a motorist driving through the lot failed to notice the pedestrian. As a result, the vehicle struck the woman.
The horrible crash took place near the corner of Shields and West Avenue.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Fresno, April 4
Shortly after 8:20 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the site and found the victim pinned underneath the vehicle. Firefighters extricated the woman, then rushed her to Community Regional Medical Center. Authorities later sadly pronounced the woman dead. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officers mentioned the driver involved in the tragic incident stayed in the area and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident at the 99 Cents Only store parking lot.
