Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Highway 99 Saturday
Fresno, CA (April 3, 2021) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Saturday morning on Highway 99, the Fresno Bee News reported.
Officials said a person was seen running on Highway 99 towards the center divider at approximately 6 a.m.
According to the news article published online, passing vehicles eventually struck the pedestrian. The horrible crash took place near Belmont Avenue in Fresno.
First responders found at the scene a Dodge Caravan and a Volkswagen Passat. Preliminary investigation revealed both vehicles hit the pedestrian; while multiple other motorists passed over the remains of the vehicle.

Medical personnel later confirmed the pedestrian sadly died as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to withhold information on the driver involved in the deadly crash.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 99 in Fresno.
