1 Seriously Injured in Car Accident Near California and Inyo Saturday
FRESNO (January 12, 2019) – A driver was injured after an alleged DUI crash in the area of California Avenue and Inyo Street Saturday evening, according to The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News.
The accident involving two vehicles took place on January 12 shortly before 6 p.m.
As per the reports, police said a truck was going east on California Avenue near Inyo Street when its operator veered into the opposite lanes.
The truck then collided head-on with a white-colored Mustang that was traveling west at the time.
Suspected Drunk Driver Arrested After Crash
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the male motorist in the Mustang who was found bleeding from the head a result of the collision. He was in and out of consciousness due to the impact.
The man was immediately transported to Community Regional Medical Center to be treated for major injuries. He was listed in stable condition.
The name of the victim was not disclosed. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the man operating the truck was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred.
The suspect, who had a suspended license, was ultimately arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
