Passenger, Driver Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 41 Wednesday
Fresno, CA (September 23, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries following a suspected DUI car crash on Highway 41 Wednesday evening, the ABC30 News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle traveling south on the highway crashed after the driver apparently lost control of the car. According to the article published online, the vehicle veered towards the center divider. The car eventually slammed into the barrier, then overturned.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders found the vehicle engulfed in flames.
Preliminary investigation revealed the passenger managed to exit the burning car. Subsequently, the passenger pulled out the driver partially pinned in the wreckage.
Medical personnel reportedly transported to the hospital both the driver and passenger for treatment of unspecified injuries.
DUI Suspect Arrested After Injury Car Crash in Fresno, September 22
After the driver was medically cleared, police arrested him on DUI charges. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the suspect pending confirmation.
Further investigation on the DUI car crash on Highway 41 is ongoing.
