The incident took place Monday at the cross streets of Cedar and Dakota avenues near Duncan Polytechnical High School at around 7:00 p.m.
Saravia, a resident of Fresno, had been crossing the road before being hit by a vehicle headed southbound on Cedar.
The 67-year-old woman was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle did indeed stop and attended to the victim prior to the arrival of paramedics.
No further details have been released at this time as liability is uncertain.
