Bicycle Rider Killed in Fresno Crash at Friant Road and Audubon Drive
FRESNO, CA (January 12, 2022) – A bicycle rider was killed after a crash at Friant Road and Audubon Drive in Fresno.
According to The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 1:30 p.m.
Fresno police said a truck hit a male bicycle rider for an unknown reason in the city. The vehicle turned west on Audubon Drive from southbound Friant Road when it struck the bicyclist.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the man in his 50s down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the truck stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the cyclist. Officers forced westbound Audubon to shut down near Friant following the crash.
The cause of the fatal Fresno bicycle crash is still under investigation.
