Teenager Killed in Traffic Collision at Walnut and Jefferson Avenue Thursday
Fresno, CA (August 26, 2021) – A fatal car accident occurred Thursday evening in the area of Walnut and Jefferson Avenue, the ABC30 News reported.
Our sources indicated the horrible crash involved a big rig and a pickup truck. Preliminary investigation revealed the big rig was heading north on Walnut Avenue; while the pickup truck was traveling west on Jefferson Avenue.
Authorities believed the two vehicles drove into the intersection at the same time, leading to the collision.
Shortly after 7 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Rescue teams found the pickup truck pinned underneath the trailer of the big rig.

Firefighters at the scene worked extensively to pull out the teenager trapped in the crumpled pickup. Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries and ultimately died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Officials mentioned the operator of the big rig appeared unharmed after the incident.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal accident at Walnut and Jefferson Avenue.
