Man Killed in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash at Pickford and Oleander Avenues
FRESNO, CA (May 3, 2021) – A man was killed after a hit-and-run crash at Pickford and Oleander avenues in Fresno.
The incident began when a Honda was going south on South Pickford Avenue, approaching East Oleander Avenue in Fresno. At the same time, a black Mercedes was going west on Oleander.
Driver Hits Another Car, Flees on Foot
Police said for an unknown reason, the Mercedes struck the Honda in the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the man in his 20s driving the Honda dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Mercedes abandoned the car following the collision.
The motorist soon fled on foot. Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect. The fatal Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
