Woman in Wheelchair Fatally Struck by Vehicle at McKinley and Winery Friday
FRESNO, Ca (Septemer 20, 2019) – A woman in a wheelchair died in a pedestrian accident in the area of McKinley and Winery avenues, according to Fresno Bee.
The collision took place Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Primary reports indicated the woman was trying to cross the intersection outside of a crosswalk. Subsequently, a passing motorist failed to avoid the pedestrian and struck her.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Central Fresno, September 20
Emergency teams responded to the location and found the woman suffering in serious injuries. Per local news source, medics rushed to patient to Community Regional Medical Center. The party sadly died shortly after.
At this time, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the involved car stayed and cooperated with the investigation. Liabilities in the accident are still unknown.
