FRESNO, California (March 10, 2017) – A deadly pedestrian accident took place on Shields Avenue early Friday morning, according to The Fresno Bee.
The collision occurred about 4:30 a.m., just west of Blackstone Avenue.
As per the article, police said a pedestrian was struck by an Isuzu Amigo which was traveling east on Shields Avenue at the time. The victim suffered fatal injuries following the incident.
The name of the deceased has not bene yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the 25-year-old man driving the SUV was on his way to the gym and reportedly did not notice the person in the roadway when the crash took place. The accident remains under investigation.
