1 Killed, 2 Injured in Fresno Crash Blackstone and San Jose Avenues
FRESNO, CA (February 13, 2023) – A street racing crash killed one person and injured two others near Blackstone and San Jose avenues in Fresno.
The incident began when a Dodge Charger was traveling at a high rate of speed on north Blackstone Avenue, approaching San Jose Avenue, in Fresno.
Police said the Dodge then slammed into a red colored pickup truck. The Charger spun out of control into the southbound lanes of Blackstone, where it hit a black pickup truck.
Multiple Cars Collide
Both the black car and the Dodge came to rest at the southwest corner of the intersection. Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed the driver of the Dodge to a hospital, where he died. The Dodge driver was later identified as 18-year-old Aeneas McClain of Fresno.
The two victim motorists sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed one of them to a hospital for further aid.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police believed that the Charger was racing a truck before crashing into the other vehicles.
