The alleged wrong-way driver was seen driving southbound within northbound lanes at around 8:30 p.m. before crashing into two vehicles a short while later.
The suspected wrong-way driver was in an older modeled Cadillac when he struck a 2015 Nissan and a 2011 Toyota.
The driver was later identified as Richard Myles. Two other motorists remained hospitalized with injuries to their back and abdomen.
Authorities are investigating the collision and are unsure where the driver got on the freeway exactly and whether or not the motorist was under the influence.
None of the other parties involved have been identified at this time.
