Man Riding Bicycle Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Crash

FRESNO, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2024) — A bicycle rider was critically injured in a Fresno hit-and-run traffic accident Saturday at East Clinton Avenue and North Van Ness Boulevard.

A driver struck the victim at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 10th at the Fresno intersection, according to the Fresno Bee.

Witnesses told police officers the driver in the dark-colored vehicle fled the scene without stopping to help the victim. The suspect was last seen traveling east on Clinton Avenue towards Wishon Avenue.

Meanwhile, authorities found the bicyclist down on the sidewalk with major injuries and paramedics transported the man believed to be in his 30s to Community Regional Medical Center.

The man was listed in critical condition, but there are no further details at this time.

Fresno Police are working on the case and looking for possible surveillance video or other witnesses who might have seen the crtash.
