Bicycle Rider Injured in Hit-and-run Crash in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2022) — A Fresno hit-and-run bicycle accident left a man in critical condition Sunday night at Palm Avenue and Fountain Way.

The bicycle collision occurred on Palm Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16th, according to ABC 30 News and the Fresno Police Department.

Additionally, the Fresno Police Department sent deputies to the intersection where they located the injured man lying in the roadway.

Investigators determined the man had been hit by a car while riding a bicycle and that an involved driver left the scene.

Paramedics rushed the bicyclist to the hospital where he is being treated for major injuries. The victim’s age and identity were not released.

Fresno Police continue to search for the driver, but did not release a description of the vehicle or suspect.
