At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Placer Avenue Monday
Fresno, CA (August 5, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Placer Avenue on August 2, Monday.
Our sources indicated two vehicles collided on Placer Avenue near James Bypass in Fresno.
Preliminary investigation revealed a black Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe veered into the opposite lanes in an attempt to pass another vehicle. In the process, the black SUV ended up driving into the path of a truck.
Initial records indicated the black SUV made an unsafe turn and careened back into the southbound side of Placer Avenue. The CHP log mentioned the black SUV cut of another southbound automobile. Per accident dispatch, the driver of the second vehicle lost control and crashed.
Shortly after 5:24 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location and found at least one person with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, who reportedly complained of pain to their chest.

Meanwhile, the black Chevrolet Suburban or Tahoe apparently sped away following the incident. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the car crash on Placer Avenue is underway.
