1 Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 168 and Highway 180
FRESNO, CA (August 30, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the Highway 168 and Highway 180 interchange in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place early Monday. Officers reported the accident at about 1 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno. They crashed on westbound Highway 168 and westbound Highway 180 transition road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They soon located and arrested the suspect.
Officers forced the westbound Highway 168 and westbound Highway 180 transition to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
