Fresno hit-and-run Highway 180 Blackstone
1 Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 180 Near Blackstone Avenue
FRESNO, CA (January 7, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on Highway 180 near Blackstone Avenue in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Friday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 10:11 a.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the westbound side of Highway 180, just east of Blackstone Avenue, in Fresno.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 180 to shut down near Blackstone following the wreck.
The cause of the Fresno hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
