2 Riders Hospitalized After Traffic Collision at East Herndon and North Thompson Avenue Saturday
Fresno, CA (May 8, 2021) – Two people suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident in the area of East Herndon and North Thompson Avenue in Fresno Saturday evening.

The Fresno Bee News reported the operator of the motorcycle apparently failed to notice traffic slowing in front of him. As a result, the motorbike with two rider slammed into the back of a GMC Yukon. The force from the impact ejected both the motorcycle driver, and passenger.
According to the article published online, an off-duty nurse was an occupant in a vehicle traveling behind the motorcycle. The nurse reportedly resuscitated the female motorcycle passenger.
Authorities said responding emergency teams transported both the motorcycle driver, and passenger to the hospital with major injuries. Per local news source, the female passenger was listed in critical condition.
Several factors surrounding the motorcycle accident at Herndon and Thompson Avenue remained unclear. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the collision.
