Motorcycle Rider Injured in Crash on Highway 41
FRESNO, Calif. (Nov. 10, 2021) — A Fresno motorcycle crash Tuesday night at Highway 41 and Bullard Avenue left a rider with major injuries and police arrested an SUV driver on suspicion of DUI.
The motorcycle versus SUV collision happened just before 10 p.m. on the southbound side of Highway 41, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in an SUV reportedly struck the motorcyclist on the highway near the on-ramp in northeast Fresno. Subsequently, the SUV overturned in the collision.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured motorcycle rider to the hospital. Doctors are treating the man, who is in his 60s, for undisclosed major injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver from the SUV attempted to flee on foot. However, police officers managed to find him and he was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run charges. Authorities did not identify the suspect, but noted he was in his 20s.
The SUV driver tried to run away from the scene but was soon found by police. The man in his mid-20s suffered minor injuries. He was arrested for DUI and hit and run charges.
Finally, the investigation into the suspected DUI crash is ongoing.
