Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Fresno Crash at Maroa and Fedora Avenues
FRESNO, CA (July 22, 2021) – A motorcyclist was critically injured after a crash at Maroa Avenue and Fedora Avenue in Fresno.
The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News wrote that the accident took place on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
Fresno police said the incident happened a man was riding a motorcycle north on Maroa Avenue, approaching Fedora Avenue. For an unknown reason, he collided with a white van in the intersection.
Motorcycle and Van Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Shields Avenue. They found the rider who ended up suffering from major leg injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center and listed him in critical condition. Officials did not disclose his name.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver parked near the site following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Maroa and Fedora avenues to shut down after the collision.
The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
