Motorcyclist Fatally Hits Dog Near West Avenue Saturday
Fresno, CA (February 13, 2021) – A motorcycle rider suffered injuries following a road accident on East Caruthers Avenue Saturday afternoon.
The Fresno Bee News reported a motorcyclist struck a dog along a Fresno County roadway. Per news article, the crash took place near West Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Officials said the black and white dog ran into the path of the rider. The motorcyclist then failed to avoid and hit the dog. The force from the impact caused the rider to be thrown off their motorbike.
Motorcycle Rider Airlifted to Hospital After Crash on Caruthers Avenue, February 13
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found the man lying unconscious on the roadway. A helicopter airlifted the patient to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the dog sadly died as a result of the crash.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the motorcycle crash on Caruthers Avenue.
