Boy, 12, Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Cedar and Woodward Avenue Thursday
Fresno, CA (January 27, 2022) – A 12-year-old boy suffered injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of Cedar and Woodward Avenue Thursday.
According to ABC30 News, the juvenile attempted to cross the intersection in southeast Fresno. Earlier reports indicated the child thought he had the right of way. However, the traffic light was apparently not working at the time.
A vehicle heading south on Cedar accelerated through the intersection and hit the child. The collision took place at approximately 4:30 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they immediately rendered aid to the juvenile. Officials mentioned the victim sustained cuts to the head as a result of the incident.
Meanwhile, unharmed driver reportedly stayed on scene and cooperated with the police.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine liability in the pedestrian accident Cedar and Woodward Avenue.
