Pedestrian Critically Injured in Fresno Crash at McKinley and Echo Avenues
FRESNO, CA (October 14, 2022) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a crash at McKinley and Echo avenues in the city of Fresno.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 5:30 p.m.
The incident happened on October 12 when a female pedestrian was walking with her dog near the Fresno High School. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck her.
Police said the driver hit the woman in her 70s at the intersection of East McKinley and North Echo avenues. She was using the crosswalk at the time.

Paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim down on the ground. She sustained life-threatening injuries, including a leg fracture, as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital and listed her in critical, but stable condition. The report did not disclose her name.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. The SPCA took the dog into their care.
Officers forced the area of McKinley and Echo areas to shut down after the accident. The cause of the Fresno pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
