Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fresno Crash on Highway 99 and Highway 180

FRESNO, CA (November 4, 2022) – A crash left a pedestrian seriously injured on Highway 99 and Highway 180 transition in Fresno.

According to The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News, the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 8:40 a.m.

The incident happened on November 2 when a man ran out of gas on the northbound Highway 99 and eastbound Highway 180 connector ramp.

Man Hit by Car

The California Highway Patrol said he was returning to his vehicle with a gas container at the same time, a Dodge truck approached. In the process, the car struck the pedestrian on the Fresno highway.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officers forced the Highway 99 and Highway 180 transition to shut down for about an hour following the incident. The cause of the Fresno pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
