
Pedestrian Hit by Car Fleeing Police at Fresno Intersection
FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2024) — A driver being pursued by police struck a pedestrian Wednesday night at North Fruit Avenue and West Clinton Avenue in central Fresno.
The collision occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3rd, according to the Fresno Police Department and ABC 30 News.
Multiple agencies were attempting to stop the driver before they reached the intersection.
Authorities say they eventually called off the chase, but it’s unknown if that happened before the pedestrian accident or not.
The pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the collision, but it’s unknown if they were hospitalized.
Police are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
They closed down Fruit Avenue between Terrace and Harvard to conduct the investigation.
