Fresno Pedestrian Accident Shaw Avenue, Palm Avenue (Jan. 19)

Pedestrian Injured in Fresno Car Accident at Shaw and Palm Avenues

FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 19, 2022) — A Fresno pedestrian accident happened Wednesday at West Shaw Avenue and North Palm Avenue.

The collision happened at 6:11 a.m. on Jan. 19th at the Fresno intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the pedestrian accident.

CHP officers responded to the scene where a gray Toyota Camry struck a man attempting to cross Shaw Avenue. The pedestrian was outside of a marked crosswalk and wearing dark clothing, police said. The motorist stopped their vehicle and is cooperating with authorities.

Also, Fresno firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured pedestrian. Paramedics transported the person to a hospital where he is being treated for major injuries.

A tow truck removed the car due to its smashed windshield.

Also, a secondary vehicle was involved in the collision, but it’s unknown what the circumstances are.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the Fresno pedestrian accident.
