Pedestrian and Motorcycle Rider Injured in Fresno Crash on Cedar Avenue
FRESNO, CA (September 2, 2021) – A crash injured a pedestrian and a motorcycle rider near Cedar Avenue and Shaw Avenue in Fresno.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision at around 8:30 p.m.
Fresno police said the incident began when a female pedestrian was trying to cross Cedar Avenue, just south of Shaw Avenue.
A motorcycle rider approached and then struck the woman in her 60s for an unknown reason. In the process, the man in his 20s riding the motorcycle fell off the bike.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian who sustained a head injury as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, the motorcyclist initially left the area following the accident. Police affirmed that the rider, who ended up with minor injuries, later returned to the site.
Medical personnel then took both patients to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at the time.
Police added that the area of Cedar Avenue and Shaw Avenue is dark, lacks visibility and does not have a crosswalk. The Fresno pedestrian vs motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
