Woman Critically Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run on Belmont Near Highway 99
FRESNO (April 15, 2019) – An alleged hit-and-run accident killed a pedestrian along Belmont Avenue near Highway 99 early Monday.
According to ABC 30 News, police said a female pedestrian was walking west on Belmont Avenue when for an unknown reason she was struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the area of the collision and found the woman down in the roadway suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash.

She was immediately transported to the hospital where she was listed in critical but stable condition. Her name was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop after hitting the victim and fled the scene without rendering aid to the woman.
Authorities are gathering more information and evidence to locate the hit-and-run suspect. The incident took place at around 2 a.m.
