Woman Critically Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run at B Street and Geneva Avenue
FRESNO, CA (June 11, 2021) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a hit-and-run crash at B Street and Geneva Avenue in Fresno.
According to The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at around 3 p.m.
The incident began when a female pedestrian was walking across B Street and Geneva Avenue. At the same time, a white vehicle was going south.
Fresno police said for an unknown reason the driver involved hit her in the intersection. The motorist did not stop to render aid and then fled southbound on B Street.
Pedestrian Hit by Car in Fresno
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Elm and California avenues. They found the woman left suffering from severe head injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed her to the Community Regional Medical Center and listed her in critical condition. Officials did not release the name of the victim.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for the suspect. Officials forced the area of B Street and Geneva Avenue to close following the accident.
