The victim, a 19-year-old girl, was assisting two parties who had moments before been involved in a car accident each other. The vehicles were a Nissan and a pickup truck.
She offered to go grab some water from her work which was adjacent to where the collision took place. As she crossed the street she was suddenly struck by the driver of a Buick.
The unidentified woman was thrown into the air and suffered major injuries including a head injury and multiple broken bones. She remains hospitalized at Community Regional Medical Center.
Per the Fresno Bee, the driver of the Buick was questioned by authorities and was not charged.
Multiple other motorists from the initial collision were injured moderately and were also taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
