3 Injured in Fresno Crash at Fresno and G Streets
FRESNO, CA (April 15, 2023) – A crash at Fresno and G streets left a police officer and civilians injured in Fresno.
According to The Fresno Bee and ABC 30 News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 14 at about 8:30 a.m.
The incident began when the Fresno police officer was responding to a gun disturbance call in the city. He was driving down on Fresno Street near G Street toward the underpass with lights and sirens on.
Police Involved in Wreck
For an unknown reason, the police SUV collided with a Honda 4-door sedan. The cruiser continued into the wall of the underpass and struck a light pole in the area.
The officer sustained a minor injury to one hand as a result of the collision. The two people in the Honda ended up with moderate injuries upon impact.
The officer took himself to the hospital while paramedics rushed the other two for treatment. The reports did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officials forced the corner of Fresno and G streets to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
