SANGER, California (August 16, 2017) – A person suffered major injuries Wednesday morning when their car and a Sparklett’s Water truck collided at State Route 180 Kings Canyon Road and North Indianola Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported to the CHP about 8:24 a.m. this morning, just east of Fresno. The report states that a person was pinned inside the smaller vehicle described only as a beige sedan.
Firefighters extricated the trapped individual and paramedics rushed them to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Falcon Towing and Eppler were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene of the crash.
Sanger Crash Investigation
Police will seek to determine who is liable for this collision and the resulting injuries it caused. There were two motorists involved in the crash including a commercial truck owned by Sparklett’s Water. The report only states one person was injured in the collision and this person may have grounds for a personal injury claim for compensation.
The intersection where the crash took place involves a busy highway and the smaller roadway that feeds into it is controlled by a stop sign. The report does not state what direction the vehicles were traveling, nor how the crash happened. Speed may have been a factor in the crash. Answers to these questions and more will help police figure out what went wrong and who is to blame. Hopefully the injured person is getting the care necessary for a full recovery.
