Utility Worker Injured in Fresno Crash Near Butler and Clovis Avenues
FRESNO, CA (August 31, 2021) – A utility worker was hospitalized after a crash near Butler and Clovis avenues in southeast Fresno.
According to an article published by Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 9 a.m.
The incident began when a vehicle was traveling in the area of Butler and Clovis avenues in Fresno. Its driver swerved and lost control in the process.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Police said the motorist then clipped a worker who was doing maintenance on a utility box nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the utility worker hurt as a result of the Fresno crash. Medical personnel took the victim to a local hospital for treatment of a leg injury.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police added that the driver took out a railroad crossing arm.
Officers forced a stretch of Butler and Clovis avenues to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
