
Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Friant Crash on Millerton Road
FRIANT, CA (March 11, 2023) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash on Millerton Road in Friant.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 10:27 a.m.
The incident happened on March 11 when a Lincoln MKZ struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Friant. The car hit the bicyclist on Millerton Road near the Millerton Lake Rentals and California Parks and Recreation.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the cyclist hurt. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned that the Lincoln came to a rest on the right hand shoulder near an electric pole. Officers forced a stretch of Campus Drive to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Friant bicycle crash is still under investigation.
