
Fullerton crash Commonwealth State College
1 Killed, 1 Badly Injured in Fullerton Crash at Commonwealth and State College
FULLERTON, CA (December 3, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured another at Commonwealth Avenue and State College Boulevard in Fullerton.
According to The Orange County Register and FOX 11 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:54 a.m.
The incident happened when a 27-year-old man riding a motorcycle stopped facing west on Commonwealth Avenue, waiting to make a southbound turn on State College Boulevard.
As the he waited for the traffic to clear, a Toyota Camry entered the intersection northbound on State College. Fullerton police said the car then collided with the rider.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The motorcyclist went off the roadway and in the process, slammed into a tree. He sustained significant injuries as a result of the collision.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he soon died. Meanwhile, the 86-year-old man driving the Toyota survived the incident with moderate injuries.
Medical personnel took the patient to a trauma center for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Police forced the area of Commonwealth and State College to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Fullerton crash is still under investigation.
