Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Chapman Avenue Near Cal State Fullerton
FULLERTON, CA (March 8, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash on Chapman Avenue in Fullerton.
According to The Orange County Register and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision at around 6:35 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was walking northbound across Chapman Avenue in the city of Fullerton. At the same time, a Jeep was going west.
Police said for an unknown reason, the car then struck him. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Cal State Fullerton.
Man Hit by Car
Medical personnel found the man lying in the westbound lanes of Chapman near Clark Avenue. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the victim to a hospital, where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped, stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. They forced a stretch of Chapman Avenue to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Fullerton pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
