Buena Park Police Officer Hit and Injured by Vehicle on 91 Freeway Friday
Fullerton, CA (November 27, 2020) – A Buena Park police officer suffered injuries following an alleged hit-and-run collision on 91 Freeway Friday evening.
The Orange County Register news reported the motorcycle patrol officer pulled over a white 2015 Infiniti sedan in the westbound side of the freeway. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Infiniti stopped along the interstate near Brookhurst Street.
During the traffic stop, the Infiniti reportedly backed into the officer. The suspect hit the deputy, resulting in injuries. Our sources confirmed the Buena Park motorcycle officer suffered injuries as a result of the incident.
Shortly after 7 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and rendered aid to the victim. Due to the extent of their trauma, paramedics transported the injured officer to a hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the Infinite drove away from the scene. The hit-and-run driver was last seen transitioning onto northbound Interstate 5 Freeway.
Detectives handling the case continue to identify and locate the suspect. Further investigation on the hit-and-run crash in Fullerton is ongoing.
