FULLERTON: Motorcycle Crash on I-5 Freeway, Magnolia Avenue

Motorcyclist Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway South
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2026) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a car accident Tuesday morning in Fullerton on the southbound I-5 Freeway, under the Magnolia Avenue overpass.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 6:48 a.m. on Nov. 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log.
A driver in a black Kia Rio was traveling in the HOV lane and reportedly crossed the double yellow lines and struck the oncoming motorcyclist, the report said. The report stated it was a possible hit-and-run crash, but a witness shared the Kia’s license plate number.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider managed to move over to the center divider and complained that they had an injury on their left wrist from the crash. A Nissan Sentra and a second vehicle, possibly the Kia, were also stopped on the right shoulder. The Nissan had a broken left rear axle.
Metro Net Fire Authority responded to the scene with an ambulance, but it’s unknown if anyone was taken to a hospital or just treated at the scene.
There are no further details at this time, but an investigation into what happened is ongoing.
