Woman Hit by Car in Pedestrian Accident on Orangethorpe Avenue
FULLERTON, Calif. (March 2, 2020) — A woman was seriously injured Sunday night in a pedestrian accident on Orangethorpe Avenue in Fullerton.
She was struck by a suspected DUI driver about 10 p.m. near Euclid Street, Fullerton police said.
UPDATE: Mustapha Baion, 34, was arrested by police for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.
The injured woman was hit in the westbound lanes of Orangethorpe, police said.
Paramedics responded and found the woman suffering from life-threatening injuries to her upper body and lower extremities.
The woman was not in a marked a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Meanwhile, the driver of a silver Honda sedan stopped and was questioned by police. After being given a field-sobriety test by police, the person was arrested and taken into custody.
