Plane Crashes Through Roof of Building Near Fullerton Airport
FULLERTON, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2025) – Two people were killed and 19 others were injured when a small plane crashed through the roof of a warehouse on Raymer Avenue near the Fullerton Airport.
The pilot of a single-engine aircraft and his teenage daughter died in the collision, according to ABC 7 News.
The 2:30 p.m. crash on Jan. 2nd, sparked a fire in the Michael Nicholas Design Factory warehouse in the 2300 block of Raymer Avenue, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Roughly 200 people were working in the furniture manufacturing warehouse.
The Fullerton Police Department, along with the Fullerton and Orange County Fire Authority crews responded to the scene.
The building, a furniture warehouse, was evacuated and paramedics tended to roughly 19 people who were injured.
There were eleven people taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The aircraft, which was attempting to land at the airport, was a homemade four-seat, single-
engine Van’s Aircraft RV-10 with two people aboard. The occupants suffered moderate injuries. It’s unknown who was killed in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board and FAA will investigate the cause of the crash.
