Hemet Fatal Crash at Lincoln and Mountain Avenues
HEMET (July 31, 2017) – On July 29, 52-year-old Gabriel Deniz died a day after being involved in a traffic collision at Lincoln and Mountain avenues.
According to the Press Enterprise, Deniz was driving home from work in a 1995 Chevrolet S-10. He was traveling eastbound on Lincoln Avenue and stopped at the stop sign at Mountain Avenue, also known as Ramona Expressway.

The crash happened just after 5:20 p.m. on July 28 when Deniz pulled into the intersection and was struck by a southbound 2010 Mercedes CLK driven by a Desert Hot Springs man. The Mercedes did not have a stop sign and was going about 50 mph at the time.
The collision forced both vehicles to veer off the embankment.
As per the article, Deniz complained of pain to his torso and neck following the crash. He was taken to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley where he later died, about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Meanwhile, authorities said that based on the toxicology test results, Deniz was drunk when the crash took place.
No additional details were disclosed on the condition of the Mercedes driver.
