Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash at Cesar Chavez and Cairo Street
Coachella, CA (October 13, 2022) – Gabriel Garcia, a 41-year-old man, died following a suspected hit-and-run collision at Cesar Chavez and Cairo Street.
The Desert Sun News reported two vehicles struck the pedestrian at the intersection in Coachella. Our sources indicated the horrible crash took place on September 30, Friday.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found the victim lying in the middle of the street. Paramedics rushed the injured pedestrian to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio. The patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department identified the deceased as Gabriel Garcia.
The article published online confirmed the two drivers involved in the collision fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspects.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. Further investigation on the deadly crash is ongoing.
