Gabriel Lopez, 53, Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Whittier and Calzona Thursday
BOYLE HEIGHTS, Ca (August 26, 2019) – 53-year-old Gabriel Lopez suffered serious injuries following an alleged hit-and-run collision in the area of Whittier Boulevard and Calzona Street.
According to NBC News, Lopez was riding a bicycle at the Boyle Heights neighborhood Thursday night. When the bicyclist approached the intersection, he was struck by a vehicle of unknown type.

Officials said the motorist drove away following the impact.
Meanwhile, medical records indicated Lopez spent four days at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center with multiple injuries.
No details have been yet released on the hit-and-run suspect. Further investigation on the case is underway.
