
Selma Man, 45, Struck and Killed by DUI Suspect
FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2025 ) – Gabriel Zarate, 45, of Selma, was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver in a pedestrian accident at Herndon and Blackstone avenues in Fresno.
The fatal crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26th, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
A woman driving eastbound on Herndon Avenue reportedly struck the victim in the roadway. She stopped and someone called 911 for help.
The Selman man suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Meanwhile, investigators determined the driver was under the influence and she was arrested by police.
